Do I need a licence?

You do not require a licence to drive our boats.

What training will be given?

Depending on experience you will be given basic training or an RYA day training course.

Will the boats be available when I want?

All the boats are booked on a first come first served basis and booked through our dedicated app.

Who maintains the boats?

We look after all the major maintenance of the boats including refuelling. Members are expected to return the boat as they found it and simple cleaning kits are kept on board.

Can I take family and friends on board?

Yes of course, but all bookings must have the paying member onboard.

Do I need to refuel the boat?

We take care of the all the refuelling, so you don’t have to.

What happens if I damage the boat?

Depending on the severity of damage you could either lose part or all of your £500 damage deposit. If another vessel collides with you, it is important you exchange details just like a car and take photos.

What is the minimum age to be a member of the Boat Club?

The minimum age for any member is 25yrs for insurance purposes. Any age may be onboard with the paying member.

What is the safety equipment on board?

All our boats are provided with liferings, fire extinguishers, fire blankets and lifejackets.

How long is the membership?

All memberships are a minimum 12 months and starts from the date you join. Unfortunately, we cannot offer 6 months or summer membership only.
